Two Telecaster week?

What's Hot

Somehow managed to acquire two Telecasters within 72 hrs...

The black one 'happened' after I popped out for 15 minutes to grab a coffee during my lunch break and was completely unplanned.

Black Americano turned into double bound Black Telecaster!

Like the binding on the black one. Love the blue + tortoise guard combination. Congrats!

Both are excellent looking guitars, but I love the blue one with the Bigsby.

They are at opposite ends of the price scale, but both are great guitars and have their own thing going on. I didn't expect to get two in one week, but the black one was a good guitar and at a decent price.

With the blue one, it's a luthier built job by Bravewood and so is pretty vibey, for want of a better phrase. Whereas the black one is a Classic Vibe and just ridiculously well made for its price. I also found out after it was a limited run of something like 250 guitars, which makes it a bit different.

You need at least three before you can start these kinds of threads!
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

Like them both too. The beat up blue shades it for me.

£1000000000000 and a 3 month stay in the Playboy mansion?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Both lovely. The blue looks like lake placid which is my favourite Fender custom colour.
    What are the pickups?

I was told that they are Mojo pickups and not ones you can usually buy. Think Marc usually just winds these for himself and so doesn't offer them as a regular model.

I normally don't like black guitars other than ebony les paul customs, but that bound black Tele is really nice!
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)
