Helix delay clipping

Do you guys need to attenuate going in to any delay block? I get distortion / clipping on most models if I don't...seems more prominent on higher notes. 

Are there any meters tucked away anywhere?

There's a video on YouTube about gain staging. It could be that you're putting a too big a signal into the delays.

Some of them have a headroom parameter... turn it up.

Hmm well i get it even with jsut 1 delay block and nothing else going in to the front of an amp, I wonder if my guitar is too hot..it should be though tis jsut an LP with burst buckers but will try the input pad...im also running the master volume at 12 o clock rather than full but i guess that isnt the unity point

Definitely try using the pad, and let me know how you get on!

well i made an empty patch and used the USB output into reaper as a meter and it def  isnt clipping without the pad.

Which delay are you trying it with? Have you recorded the output and looked at the waveform close up? Does it look squared off?

not tried that yet but its on my list, happened with several, vintage digital, adriatic, memory man, dont recall them all.
