Help identifying a curious old (70s) Fender case

I've got a 1978 Fender Stratocaster and I cannot identify the case that came with it.  Can anyone help, please?

It is a hard shell moulded case but it is about 5cm longer than it should be for a strat (and longer than another case I have from the late 70s which I bought with a strat in 1980 - see one of the shots bellow).  You can see from the images that the strat does not sit properly within it.

Also, the layout of the interior is unlike anyhting else I can find.

I think it is too long to be a bass case.

Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks

I’ve just googled Jazzmaster 70s cases following @andrewaward ‘s tip.  Mystery solved after 28 minutes.  Brilliant

I had a moulded Fender case which came with my 1980 Strat which looked identical on the outside - but the internal body cut out followed the shape of the guitar pretty closely.

Yes, @richardhomer that sounds like my other strat case that I bought with mine in 1980 (although the jazzmaster case, as I can now call it, is a bit wider).
