Dick Dale Passes at 82

Dick Dale king of the Surf guitar passes at 82.

I'm putting this video up, it's a bit long but it shows you can still kick ass at that age!

Yeah, he took a couple of minutes to warm up, but he was 82!

RIP Dick, you are still a legend.

A great shame. A fabulous performer and genuine legend.

My son has seen him and I always tried to catch DD when in the US but dates never coincided. 

I'll never see him now. 

RIP Dick Dale.

Real guitar hero of mine. I saw him in the U.K. in the 90s, he still had so much energy in his playing. Barking mad character ; I read somewhere that he lived on a ranch in California and had built a runway for alien craft on his land.

Poor sod was touring to pay for medication. Most but not all was covered under his health insurance

Unbelievable that - per this Twitter thread - he had to keep touring at that age to cover his medical bills, his healthcare provider having advised him to wash out and re-use his colostomy bags to save money. The American Way of Life!
