Glitchy and experimental delay / reverb...recommendations?

I feel like I need to break some rules and try some more experimental pedals.

Blame the 'Knobs' Youtube channel.

The Red Panda Particle V2 seems like a good option.

Earthquaker Devices also seem to cover this area well.

Does anyone have any experience and recommendations with these weirder pedals?

Try the Old Blood Noise Endeavours ‘Black Fountain’ delay. Awesome pedal.

A lengthy and more detailed video.

I’ve got three delays on my board, including a DD500.  The Black fountain is my favourite for late night ambient noodling. Love this thing.

Definitely the Particle, it's a very deep pedal. I have a V1 which I might consider moving on, drop me a PM if you're interested!

Alexander Radical DX Delay looks awesome - very similar to Particle with a host of options but at a cheaper price.

  • Not so much glitchy but definately fun... reverse echo on the Memory Man with Hazarai pedal.

As a standalone unit it does so much and so many interesting sounds to be gained from it.  Standard run of the mill delays, not so much to speak home about though!

Caroline has two - Kilobyte delay and Meteore reverb - billed as "lo-fi" but with lovely preamp gain sections and the 'havoc' switch which does some lovely things. Wish I still had Meteore on my board.

  • Not a Reverb and probably completely irrelevant to what you are after but I’m having a lot of fun with my Boss PS-3 with the delays and pitch shifting... best experimental pedal I’ve come across IMHO

There are a bunch or really odd effects that you can load into the Zoom Multistomp pedals, the MS-70 has odd pitchy effects, bitcrusher algorithms, massive reverbs and all sorts of delays and you can stack up to 6 of them at once, depending on how DSP-heavy they are. Probably about £60 second hand.
