TC Spark Mini discounted - am I missing something?

I've been half looking for another of these secondhand, but have just spotted that they're going for between £35 and £40 new at the moment.

Does anyone know if this is just "one of those things", or if they're being discontinued, or if it's a new pricing level?

Trying to work out whether I need to order one pronto, as at that price no-one's going to shift a secondhand one because it won't be worth it to them, or whether I can dither for a while.

I think they are moving progressively downmarket since the acquisition.

The Dark Matter and Mojo Mojo dropped to that sort of price a year or two ago and have stayed there.

Yeah, just used it as an excuse to throw more money at Gear4Music. I have one on my large board, and realised this week that one on the small board would mean I didn't necessarily need to take the amp footswitch just for boost.

Depends what you want to do. On my main board I have mine as the last thing in the chain in the FX loop because I want to use it as a totally clean boost (just push volume without changing gain). But you can stuff one in front of a distortion pedal, or into the front of an amp and use it to crank the overdrive further.

So you might need two

I've just put one on my board so with the price they're at now, I may just do that!
