Tal Wilkenfeld - Love Remains

OK, I'm biased as I've been a fan of Tal's playing for a long time but this new album is just aces!  She has such a great voice, I think it took me by surprise a little but I don't know why.

Stellar bass playing, great vocals, interesting and introspective songs and a fantastic ensemble band throughout, I highly recommend checking it out.

I’ve seen her with Jeff Beck. What sort of genre are her new songs?

Sort of singer-songwriter vibe but with the jazz and fusion influences definitely shining through.

I'm a fan of her bass playing

Had a quick listen and couldn't get on with her singing.

her previous album which was very heavy jazz based was fantastic, a little indulgent if you're looking for a quick pop song, but composition, playing, recording, top drawer.
