Just seen Oli Brown at The Crescent in York. What a player and what a voice! Great showman too. Amazing gig!

Anyone else go and see him during his tour?

not seen him live (apart from videos) he's one of those guys for me that's clearly a really skilled player but I just don't get anything out of him, I don't like his new "rockier" sound, clearly a very talented guy, is he better in person ?

Absolutely. I mean I already like his albums (mostly his blues stuff) but seeing him live I was thinking, "Jesus, he doesn't do half of this on the CD!" Recorded he's reigned in; live he lets rip both on guitar and vocals. I highly recommend you go and see him when he tours again.

I saw him support Walter Trout several years ago.

Seen him 10 times as a solo blues guy and once as Raveneye and he’s just outstanding. Definitely one to catch live, you get so much more at the show than you do on the record. Unfortunately couldn’t make the York gig this time round which is a shame, glad you enjoyed it though!
