Rex Garrod Dies

Not Musically related (well he made chimes in his garden).

Rex Garrod was a local wizz that also made TV Props and helped start Robot Wars.

Chances are he may have touched a part of your life in some small way, be that Brum, Robot wars or Dr Who.

Well known locally as a kind and gentle man that had wierd constructions in his front garden.

RIP Rex.

I watched the filming of Brum for half an hour outside Coventry Cathedral once. I also worked with a chap who had a go at professional acting the high point of which was being a recurring character in the show ( I can't remember the character's name but he was a young black guy so whatever character resembled that in Brum). The original series of Robot Wars were major events in our household and we had a lot of the merchandise. And I'm still watching Dr Who.
I didn't realise how much of that was all connected by one person.
