Leicester folk! Help?

Any of you good Leicester folk free on Wednesday night? One of my bands (BlackHawkDown) unexpectedly - and somewhat mistakenly - got through the Metal 2 The Masses heat on Sunday, and they've put us in the quarter-final on Wednesday.

As you can imagine, that puts us at a bit of a disadvantage, so if anybody fancies coming along to Firebug on Wednesday night and voting in our direction, we'll buy 'em a drink. As well as entertaining them with the best music we can muster, obviously

Because 50% of the vote is with the crowd, and all the other bands have had weeks to persuade/cajole people into coming out to play on a school night. They're also all local bands, whereas we're an hour away.

Doors at 7:15pm, and we're on any time between then and about 9:15pm - order is decided randomly on the night (sigh).

Thanks to @Roland for coming over to see us - sadly we didn't get through, which I suspect was in large part due to having three days' notice to try to get folk to drive an hour to see us on a school night. A couple of the other bands managed to get 20 or so people in there to vote for them, which would've easily been enough to see them through.

There are still the wildcard entries (two of them), so we might get through on that; however, we won't find out until the last of the quarter-finals, which means another short-notice gig carrying the same problem.

Still, it was a decent gig and we played well, so...positives
