Is that more dead than just being dead?

Just back from the cinema. Excellent movie. Surprisingly emotional, they gave the character beats lots more space to breath than usual. A lot of the stuff about loss really resonated with me.

Don't think I've ever heard so many people trying not to cry in a cinema.

How did Thors hair and beard (and stomach ) fit inside his quantum suit?

They must be bigger on the inside  :D

Genuinely fantastic movie. The cast being half the size for the majority helper a great deal, but really really good.

We we had a huge cheer when Cap picked up the hammer :)

    A few thoughts

1- I love you 3000 and 1 at the end would've been great.
2 - bucky should've been passed the shield
3 - the first act felt slow, especially for a mid night showing...

it is a good film, very much Kill Bill 1 and 2 like, action packed 1st Part and slower Part 2 in the same vein.  Good fitting ending too. it felt right.

I was expecting bucky to get the shield too. Had it in my head that there's a comic saga where he takes on the 'captain america' position.

I think the first act being a bit slower was part of the narrative. IW was so full on, and they lost. the start of EG the survivors were all physically and mentally broken.

Who's Bucky? Is Buck Rogers in this one. Flipping love Buck ROgers me, I used to run about with his helmet on my head when I was little more than 6 years old!!

There have been about 10 people as Captain America apart from Steve Rogers.

Including 3 black people - and one of them was female. Bucky was CA for a while among them, as was Falcon

It won't stop the mainly US racists moaning about it though. They went nuts when Johnny Storm got rebooted as black - even though none of them complained when a Mexican woman in a bad blonde wig was the Invisible Girl!

    Utter failure in my case.

    Stunning film.

I think Bucky (in the MCU) feels he's been too much of a bad guy to get the shield, anyway he nodded encouragingly to Steve to pass the shield on to Sam. I also think the USA needs a Captain America like Sam right now.

Did I miss how/when Gomora disappeared in the final fight?

No you didn't miss it. She just seem to bugger off from the action without any fanfare. I guess AsGuardians of the Galaxy 3 will be partly about Peter trying to find her - and given she's "old" Gamora ("new" Gamora being dead) they don't even have a relationship at this point.

I saw this yesterday, nice to go into a film not knowing everything (although I did know about Prof Hulk and the quantum realm time travel stuff- set photos). My own fault for looking online beforehand.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

I had no idea about Hulk, so that was nice. I didn't know the quantum thing, but assumed it would be the obvious thing after Antman 2.

I was slightly surprised Nat didn't re-appear on the timeywimeydevicey at the end - I would have been asking for her back in return for giving the soul stone back to mr Skull there. But I was very happy with Steve's end. And still plenty of room to have him back later via the de-oldenator if they decide they'd like some more OG Captain America action.
