God! I love that Rock'n Roll swing..

What's Hot

That dirty, swanky, struttin'  RnR swing that's almost certainly invented by the Rolling Stones.. although I can't thing of what tracks they might be..

Here are some great examples of that pumping, swinging heartbeat from The Black Crowes, The Stone Electric and The Faces.

For me this is the purest form of the art..

Any other examples greatfully accepted here. :)

Humm, not sure about that, a bit too modern-country style for me.

Love this genre too, and you're bang on with The Black Crowes, one of my favourite bands.

Here's a blast from the past that doesn't reinvent the wheel in any way, but I still like it:

And something more recent. Slightly more soulful in nature but still a little sleazy!

I was looking for CDs for in the car this week and took out Vintage Trouble The Bomb Shelter Sessions from the house. Sounds great. I bought it new in 2010 and only discovered yesterday that it came with a bonus CD ( that's inside but yet not mentioned on the sleeve). Doh.

Great posts guys - Brightened up a dull boring Friday lunchtime. May I also venture to suggest anything by Dr. Feelgood or The Pirates,.... and George Thorogood...

Think origins go back further than The Stones to the likes of Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Albert King and their ilk.

Definitely, way back to some of the early Delta Blues.

I like their self-titled album a lot, but never been so keen on any of their other stuff.

To me it doesn't really fall into this Quireboys, Dogs D'Amour, Hanoi Rocks, honky tonk rock'n'roll style.... if it does, then I'll make an exception for it.
