Chaps, looking for your help (indirectly) for a local lad who's a complete and utter nutcase, but dedicated to raising money for sick kids.

https://www.adventureman.org

Jamie McDonald has just come home to Gloucester, having run some 200+ marathons going Coast-to-Coast in the United States.

Now, as we speak, he's attempting to break the world record for most miles covered on a treadmill in 7 days. He's around 160 miles into the 518 required (after around 50 hours), and is really, really suffering.

Any support you can give, via donating, or visiting the tent that's setup in Gloucester Quays to cheer him on, would be massive.

I don't know the guy personally, but having watched a bit of the live feed of his record attempt, what he's putting himself through, to help raise money for sick kids, is nothing short of extraordinary.

Just a bump - Jamie has now completed 240 miles (approx) and has just passed the 3 day mark.

He's had a total of 7 hours sleep (rest) in that time and can barely walk currently, but he's powering through

    Live Feed here:

He's still ahead of WR pace by about 12 miles, so this next 24 hours, to get him past the halfway mark is going to be crucial. Please spread the word if you can, what this bloke is doing is super human.

Wow, great challenge especially on a treadmill with very little change in surface/foot fall.

I'll pop a donation on there.
