Getting a cushion stuffed - where?

We have an old comfy chair, in fact several, the back cushions are all saggy, and droop into an undignified pile, instead of sitting there ready to rest your back on

We took the cover from one seat cushion to the local outdoor market, where a guy on a stall quoted £38 to cut foam to size to fit that one cushion. This sounds very expensive to me. Does anyone have any experience in shopping for this sort of thing?

I bought some foam when I made a mandolin case from anyfoam.co.uk whole case came to around £50 so I’d expect they could do better.

Second soft furnishing thread of the week fella. Maybe go out watch some football tomorrow, have a pint or something. Think manly thoughts.

Don't do a cushion with foam.......do it properly with Down .......foam is for the DFS brigade
A decent goose down pillow is £85 so form your own conclusions.

the existing cushion is full of it, it's shapeless and collapses into a lump, I need vertical cushion that maintains its shape

all this chatter about upholstery in the forum at the mo got me thinking: If you have an upholstery  malfunction, why not join an upholstery evening class? This will be cheaper than both a replacement or repair and you get a life skill into the bargain...
