Nobels TR-X is versatile but easy to dial.

For a basic pedal without many knobs that specialises in a bias-type tremolo, the best thing would be a used Monster Effects Swamp-Thang... but they tend to go for £90 and well over, even with chippy paint.

or if you are any good with a soldering iron, Jeds peds does a clone kit for about £35. I’ve had one on my board for the last couple of years and it does that bias trem sound perfectly.

Another one for EHX stereo pulsar, not an expert on tremolo but always sounds good to my ears and you can get a pretty vide variety of sounds with just a few knob twiddles - easy to adjust between songs etc

I liked the EHX Stereo Pulsar but found the range of the speed knob too broad - the useable range for me was between 8-10 o'clock, everything else was either really fast or really slow. This makes dialing the speed really fiddly as a tiny move makes quite a difference. If EHX added a range toggle switch to go between the normal range and a reduced range with more control it would be an awesome trem.  In the end I sold it and put the money towards a Zvex Sonar, it's a very cool but fiddly trem. With trem the price seems to jump from budget to expensive very quickly.

EBS is the best I've come across. Boss TR2 and Mooer Trelicopter are ok and Demeter is good too.

If you can get one used, a Diamond Tremelo is seriously good. It was my 4th and final tremelo, love it.

Is £200 mid price? Probably not but the Caroline Parabola is lovely.

Fulltone Supa Trem has been a standard for a long time - used prices are usually reasonable

You may want to look at a Line6 M5 pedal, drives are shit but Trem and delays are pretty good

I've used a Carl Martin Surf Trem for years and it's always sounded great and is no nonsense (two knobs) and they're cheap to boot.

The Source Audio True Spring Reverb interests me, though, and that has a nice tremolo built in.  Kinda pricey though so I won't be buying anytime soon.

There is no 'H' in Aych, you know that don't you? ~ Wife

Turns out there is an H in Haych! ~ Sporky

    Bit of trading feedback here.

I recently upgraded the the Subdecay Vagabond, and I love it. The envelope drift knob is great too, so there's some more interesting sounds you can get from it while still doing the traditional stuff really well. £159 from Joe's Pedals, so it's probably only "mid-price" if you spend a similar amount of time dreaming about Chase Bliss pedals as I do...

Thanks guys! Some VERY helpful sugggestions that i wouldn't have thought of!

I don't buy into the strymon thing im afraid. They sound really good but I just think there's a bit of 'make a pretty box, mark the price up' with them, which guitarist seem to love! I had an El Capistan for a while and tbh the Belle Epoch i A/B'd it with actually sounded more like a tape echo. As far as the flint goes, the trems sound nice but the reverb isn't exactly like springs no matter what they say. Nothing ive played yet beats physical springs vibrating!

The best trem I've heard so far is off my Vibroverb. I found out that it's Bias tremolo and if you look in the back you can actually see the power tubes flickering back and forward in tandom. Almost as beautiful as the northern lights. Lol.

Im just looking for something pedal board friendly, as i like to adjust the pots between songs etc..

Not to be too tangential, but that, sir, is what I call a rig.

I don't think you can buy a trem pedal which will be better than your Fender amp trems.
And almost any trem pedal you choose will sound good through those amps.

I have a Marshall Vibratrem which sounds great through my Fender or Vox amps.
