It was my sons 11th birthday this weekend... so we got him his own guitar as he's been learning for a year now (he's got a thing for jacksons).. but the guitar was only part of the surprise. My mate Mikey is the guitarist with SKINDRED and they are on tour with Disturbed at the moment. Anyway, long story short he arranged for us to go and hang out and watch the gig at Alexandra palace. It was absolutely monumental and for Frazers first gig.... one hell of an experience. I need to take him to the dog and duck now to show him the norm...

anyway, it was a banging weekend and it really has lit a fire under my son as far as playing is concerned, I'm over the moon.

Excellent! I struggled to get my kids into guitar. Oldest son could have been good if he'd have applied himself, oldest daughter does play some acoustic now. The other two not interested.
