Another dumb speaker wiring question

Hello,
Apologies for another dumb wiring question - I did search and could not find a clear answer.
Got a speaker (edit for the record- I meant cabinet)  for 1x12 which already has nicely soldered wires connected to the input jack, but I don't know which is positive/negative.

Its a six legged type, and wired as shown in pic
One side (three legs) only in the pic.

Is my assumption re positive and negative correct?

Part B- (does it even matter with a 1x12, I suppose it does )

    It doesn't actually matter for a single speaker, but you might as well do it the conventional way in case you ever run it with a second cab.
