Extending speaker cable

Bit of a daft question - but cable from the speaker on my combo amp is rather short to connect to an attenuator - is there any reason to not just pop a female to female 1/4 inch adaptor on the end and run a speaker cable from that to the attenuator if I wanted to avoid any soldering or splicing?

Elsewhere here you will find a link provided by ICBM for a cable employing the Neutrik locking jack cable socket. USE NOTHING ELSE!

    Dave.

  • Found it via - http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/112850/cab-speaker-extension-cable should've searched first.

Ordered the neutrik female to female and another cable via designacable aka a Neutrik NA3JJ  and Designacable 1m Custom Length Van Damme Blue Series Jack to Angled-Jack Speaker Lead - assume that should do the trick? I've got a Van Damme and Neutrik 1m lead for amp to attenuator as well
