Do you ask for a Pepsi, Coca Cola or Coke

Silly question maybe, but the question came up this weekend in the bar - So do you ask for a Pepsi, a Coca Cola or a Coke

Plus can you tell the difference between a Pepsi and a Coca Cola ?

Always ask for Coke (leaded). 

Yes, I can tell the difference. They taste very different to me.

Ask for a Diet Coke or Coke Zero if available. Don’t like the taste or Pepsi and would have lime and soda or something if Pepsi was only choice.

Coke..  And yes I took the Pepsi challenge several times.. The difference is easy to spot..  HATE Pepsi.. Too fizzy and actually sweeter than Coke.

I would generally ask for "Coke" - Zero if they have it (getting quite common) or Diet Coke if they haven't. 

Then if they say "it's Pepsi, is that OK?" I'll have Pepsi Max or (last resort) Diet Pepsi.

I can taste the differences between all of them, but I couldn't identify which was which if you lined them all up and did a blind test.  And it's more complicated in pubs because they get it from the tap.

Coke ( or diet coke). Just seems to be the more generic term.

I check which one they have and then ask for that. However if it's draught or a sugar free variant then I won't bother and I'll just have a soda water with lemon and ice

I can tell the difference, if it's full fat I like them both but if it's sugar free nonsense if pushed to have one or the other I'd go Pepsi.

I would only ask for Cuke, and only as a mixer. Pretty sure I could tell the difference, would prefer Cuke but ultimately not care what cola I got.

None for me. However when I went with my son to Le Mans some years back, he discovered that asking for coke got him a funny look and the offer of something more white and powdery than cola.

Likewise - the others have artificial sweetener, which I don't like.

If a place only has drinks with artificial sweetener then I'll have tap water.

Yep - I could tell easily; they'd uncover the Coke can and I'd say yes, I know.

I do rather like the Fentimans cola, but at £3 a 75cl bottle in the supermarket it's more expensive than beer.

I can easily tell the difference, but if it has to be Pepsi I'll drink it - I don't usually think of it as a drink to be savoured, it's just an immediate source of water, sugar and a bit of caffeine when I'm thirsty or needing a bit of a boost. I wouldn't ever drink a diet or whatever the others are called - the proper stuff just tastes better and half the point is that it has sugar in it...

I tend to always just ask for coke. If they reply with "we only have pepsi is that ok?" I'm happy cos I'm one of those few that prefer Pepsi. Normal Pepsi, not that Max stuff.

I'd rather eat a whole bag of sugar than drink cola. It probably works out the same.
Cola surely must be one of the least refreshing drinks ever invented.

Full fat coke does literally make me buzz.... I was partially addicted to Diet Coke for a while...Trouble was I’d always get a kit kat at the same time... I broke the habit when a can of Diet Coke broke the 50p barrier..
