What guitar would be good enough to dedicate to Nashville tuning

My acoustics are Handmade pro models, I wouldn't have thought that it was proportionate to use one for this
Should I get something cheap like a Freshman or Blueridge and get a new nut and saddle made for it?

  • A Taylor GS mini is great for this though you can get any smaller bodied guitar and they will mostly sound great in Nashville. A used Baby Taylor would also be a great choice

    cheers
Last time I tried this the nut was a problem, I assume I'd need a new one
Is it worth getting a new saddle too?

Probably need a new saddle, if not then definitely re profiled to drop the strings closer to the board?

That's what I thought, but many saddles sit in a slot already on the diagonal
Perhaps some guitars have less diagonal slots, and more machined saddles as standard fitting?

Learned something new today! The idea of Nashville tuning is really cool.

I did the "start from" option too, it doesn't seem to work from the forum posting
