    Chroist.

Go on then, I'll bite, how different is it to the Ceriatone?
Being a cynical bugger, I'd suggest the only noticeable difference is about £2k... ;-)

Congratulations mate, I hope it really lives up to its reputation. There's nothing wrong in treating yourself to nice things if you can afford to do so.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

Even if it was, it would sound better than a DS-1, apparently.

Had one back in the day. Sold it when they were "only" worth £300 :-(
    Red ones are better.

Still have mine, which I bought new from Mister Charlie Chandler himself, back in the day when he stocked them.

That is quality! There's no way I'd be holding on to that if it were me (thank god it's not!)! :-)

I'd be cashing that in, if it were me.

Like I did with the TS-808 I picked up for £65 in 2003ish and sold recently for £600. :)

    Congrats dude.

People will debate the price vs cost (or something) of these until the cows come home and it’s true they do go for daft money these days. However, so does everything genuinely vintage or rare in the guitar market. Limited supply and deep pockets I suppose.

Some people seem happy to forget that a guitar is a few bits of wood and basic electrics and pay 1000s for a old Strat or Gibson but refuse to accept the same logic for a rare pedal.

However, it’s a pretty iconic and notorious piece of guitar history for the price (ish) of a new US strat. If you can afford it then why the hell not.

They're not for everyone but, for those that like them, they’re still a great pedal. Not a magic pedal but still a great pedal. Enjoy!

To be honest I have no problem with how much they are selling for but it does transcend 'having a nice sound' and become more of an object d'art.
My Trade Feedback Thread is here

Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

No spite from me! It's a really nice overdrive. I i've only played one silver Klon and i think the difference between the original and a good klone is very, very slim, but why the hell not.

    Enjoy!

So: the verdict; assuming I’ve set them identically the Klon with SCs is marginally richer/thicker but you’d not notice unless in a studio environment.

The Klone is actually slightly better with HBs as it cuts through, but with SCs, the original has a 5% edge of thickness and loveliness- that could be component drift/tols. Haven’t yet decided to flip or keep.
