Did you fall in love with a character from a film as a kid?

I remember seeing the excellent 1972 comedy What's up doc? as a teen. I absolutely fell for Barbra Streisand in the role of a wacky, very forward woman in pursuit of Ryan O'Neal. I've not particularly been a fan of Barbra in anything else, but in that film I adored her.

Any character that did it for you when you were young?

When I was a nipper, I was totally captivated by Liz Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who. Strange innit! as I was only 6 or 7 and it can't really be sexual attraction at that age.

You've already given my answer.  I'm no fan of Streisand either, but I'm in love with her in that film.

Also when I was really young, there was an actress called Kim Richards, who was in a number of Disney things including Escape to Witch Mountain.  She's my age and I definitely fell for her.

It seems she grew up to be a bit of a loon with a very troubled personal life and ended up on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

When I was very young I remember being completely enchanted by Audrey Hepburn in Green Mansions and Vivien Leigh in Waterloo Bridge.
