Tribute Firebirds! - Opinions?...

Hey guys!

A quick question, but has anyone ever tried out those Gibson Firebird 70's tributes and if so, what did you think?? I know the construction/hardware all differ from the usual FB V's (which I use to own), but are they any good?

I always wanted to try one of those myself but only ever saw the LPs an SGs in store.

I think the SGs and LPs tribute make more sense. The Firebird tribute is a bit too remote from the original.

Don't know about the Firebird specifically, but I think the same pickups are used in the Special 70s Tribute SG and LP.  Read a magazine review (forget which) that said the SG and Firebird sounded very, very similar.  I have the SG myself, and I really like the pickups a lot.
