So there will be shortly available a Lazy J35, 3x10 combo from Jesse :) I'll be looking forward to hearing the sound clips

It does. I still think I'd go for the J40 still though. Not much difference really I suppose except for the 3x10 speakers. Which I guess is quite a big difference in sound :)

Phil Harris played the Gary Moore/Peter Green Les Paul through a Lazy J Bassman-style amp at Haydock on Sunday. The first time I've ever actually seen/heard one.

    It sounded very fine.

I'm sure the guitar helped (!) but the tone was absolutely superb.

That was the J35's first outing I believe - very keen to hear it! I think Luke from the Temperance Movement is going to be road testing it shortly.

I used to have a fender vibroking in a 3x10 format which sounded incredible. Had a fondness for 10's ever since.

anything more than 2 x10s sounds great and wide open; lesser and a lot more pinched.

My only worry would be the weight of 3x10 speakers. Still veering towards the J40 with that in mind. Not getting any younger ;)

I had a Fender Vibroking for years. Fantastic amp but ultimately too loud and a bit of a weight. I haven't seen any details of this Lazy J, and this is the first I've heard of it, but I always thought something like a 35 watt version of the Vibroking would be a good bet, however the only amp I found to try which had the same 3x10 speaker configuration was a 35 watt Victoria Victorilux. Another fine amp, but when I put them side by side I still preferred the Vibroking. Knowing Jesse's J20 and having spoken with him in the past I reckon this J35 could be a great gigging amp, and the 3x10 layout should mean that it would break up a bit sooner than, say, a Fender Super Reverb, which is for many the ultimate blues amp, but again too loud for many applications.

I get round the higher breakup point on my Super Reverb by running it in stereo with my Super~Sonic 60! Is a great way to get all the Vibroking clean tone and detailed, customised breakup... I just need a 63 Reverb tank and I'm there!

This looks quit interesting too. J 80 head with reverb. Having tried an 80 out at jesse's a couple of years ago, I can say that it would be too loud even for wembley stadium! http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee512/bandmaster188/imagejpg1_zps7c17602f.jpg

Yes I agree. Not sure who would ever need a J80 unless your name is bonamassa :) J40 is pushing it too unless you like a good clean sound?

This is what I used to do, into a Deluxe Reverb II and a 5E3 at once. It sounded awesome.

Anyone know what speakers are in that J35, has he gone with Tayden or something more American sounding?

I‘m still interested in the J35. I currently have a J10LC but the 35 looks great.

    Anyone heard one?
