Spent a little time this morning adjusting the tension spring on the trem on my jag.... Why was I not more aware that this pretty much cures all of the constant Jag battles?! Maybe I skipped page 1 of the idiots guide, but it stays in tune now! That and a Staytrem has done wonders.

It's a clever system. You should adjust the screw so that in order to move the slider backwards the trem arm needs the lightest of touches. You can then lock the trem should you break a string - want to quickly use an alternative tuning etc.
