    Here we go again...

When the guitar arrived it was in a completely playable state despite the apparently unsecured bridge; the parting grain (photos 4 & 6) looked worrying but actually played no detrimental part at all, but I injected Tightbond... and I think it was just a natural grain opening through a poorly chosen piece of wood for the bridge.
The bridge as on so many older guitars was lifted at the back edge... really in some ways the idea of gluing a piece of wood onto the surface where the string loads are trying to peel it off is less than ideal, though this has always been the guitar building tradition of course.
I didn't try to glue and clamp it, but used two vacant string holes in the bridge and wound two cap-head screws through then a good washer and a nylock nut inside the guitar and that pulled the rear edge down onto the front of the guitar very nicely.

    Have a big fat Lol!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I like to think he injected Titebond into his veins...

He could open a shop that sells exclusively machine heads with the amount he's removed from these 7 string guitars and now the 12 string acoustics! Probably make a small fortune!

He did have a cymbal for sale once, with a cheap piezo disc glued on to it. Apparently it sounded great through a guitar amp with a bit of flanger. It's the percussion equivalent of humbucker tones at the bridge with clean Fenderish tones at the neck for chord work.

I saw this hacked acoustic with the bolts through the bridge a while ago but thought it pointless to post it, after all, we've seen it all before. But Jesus H Christ, it really is horrific.

What a wanker. How anyone can put that sort of shite out without feeling deeply embarrassed is beyond me.
