I know of a pedal maker in Qatar and he's willing to pay good money to make sure he wins.

There's an Argentine manufacturer byt I can't recall the name.

And no it's not Hand of God pedals.
    One of these?
I spent 20 minutes last night looking at those and then stopped, thinking I had gone too far!  Still, there was a great looking mini vibe that with import duties would only...

We've got to include "Campeones" pedals from Spain. They do a device called the Tike Taka which is a fabulous multi-tap delay.

Cryuff pedals in Holland make something similar called "The Clockwork Orange", but reliability isn't good and it tends to freeze during really big important gigs.

    Scottish pedals? Flynn Amps. http://www.flynnamps.co.uk/

    Spanish pedals? Thundertomate. http://www.thundertomate.com/english/home.html

Welsh pedals? Ebay pedal geeks might remember the Ladipo Pride and Joy. TS9 clone made by Rhys Ladipo in Penarth, I believe.

Brazil - MG Effects. GNI Effects.

Another Irish pedal brand is Jackie Charlton pedals from the early 90's. They had tons of character and made a lot of noise, but closer inspection revealed they were made up of bits and pieces from all over the place, and for all the hype they were pretty run of the mill and got lost in the mix.

  • Manlay Sounds for Spain? I think Musico Loco are Spanish or Portuguese.

    Crazy Tube Circuits for Greece.

  • If the idea was which pedals most closely resemble the performance of the country's football team it could be:

Freekish Blues Alpha Drive = Argentina - cheating bastards
Klon Centaur = England - massively overpriced and over hyped components but never delivers on expectations
Whammy DT = Brazil - amazing tricks, big personality, no-one can beat what they do, not so good at normal stuff

Someone who actually knows about football will probably do better ones than me!

For Scotland, we could go with a "Paisley" Drive or an "Independent" builder

    :-D

Could pedals be nominated? I'd love to here my Zinky True Grit against the Minifooger OD, for example. There are also a few new 2 button TS styles that might be interesting to compare.
