So... how many guitars do you actually own

What's Hot

I have recently been called an addict by the most prolific of guitar purchasers known to man...
It has left me in a cold sweat. So come on one and all, help me out and tell me that a fair few of you have more guitars than me.

My current count :  12
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

As long as its less than the missus shoe and handbag collection the testes remain connected.

Current count : 6 (guitars, not testes)

The problem with this type of thread is admitting how many guitars I have that, despite lessons and DVDs, I still cannot play.....

He never mentioned  me. You are right, but that  has to be the luckiest of flooky guesses..

    I have..

    An Epi Sg

I think your good self and myself are the exact opposites of the GAS spectrum, my newest guitar is 2 years old, the oldest I've had 20...........

3 electrics: Fender Strat, Squier Tele and a Vintage SG copy

2 acoustics (a nice Tak which gets properly hidden from the kids, and my 'go to' cheapo which lives downstairs and doesn't mind getting smashed by wooden trains or strummed by little fingers).

    1 Squier P- Bass.

    So that's 6.

And perhaps a nice Lester or a semi-acoustic to join them this year, with maybe- just maybe- the SG saying goodbye on the way out.

I really feel for you Mike. imagine how many guitars you could have tried in all that time. It's terribly sad.

Anyway, I thought he was reffering to young AdolfHipster. Now that boy really gets thru them...
