Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

  • Lots of them in blues and bluegrass. Often with the rhythm part thrown in at the same time.

Heard a good one I'd forgotten about this morning…

Nelly Furtado - Turn Off The Light

America - Horse With No Name.
You don't need much knowledge of anatomy to appreciate the fundamental ubiquity of opinions.

Pentangle. Bert Jansch and John Renbourn. Two geniuses for the price of one. (Three if you include Danny Thompson).

Love Danny Thompson. Saw him twice with John Martyn (in the mid-80s and on 'The Sunshine Boys' tour in 2001).

No only a great musician but a raconteur as well. The coolest 75 year old around!

Great isn't he? I've seen him once with Richard Thompson and saw Pentangle on their reunion tour twice a few years ago.

This is an acoustic solo, starts about 2:15 Lucky enough to see these live at the Fleece and firkin on a tour years ago, normally do stadium tours in states, yet they agreed to do a one off apparently. Never have I seen anything like it before or since. Just a bunch of youngsters ripping up the stage. At end of night they unplugged everything and walked out into audience and just played acoustically. You could have hear a pin drop.
