This bass has 15 strings. It also only has 10 bridge saddles, with some slightly imaginative placing of strings that our forum favourite guitar producer would be proud of. 
The bassiest of the bass strings overhangs the fretboard.

Sold for £950...

    Ideas like this frustrate me.  At times it's hard enough getting the bassist to play the right poxy note as it is, without complicating it further.

    I would also imagine that the extra complexity of this instrument would take the average time from someone first starting to learn a bass to being gig ready from two weeks to nearer three.
