Same here....nearest shop with one in stock is about 40 miles away...but somebody may get lucky.
Don't understand why they don't do home delivery. If Maplins wanna sell that would treble their chances I would think.
    No wonder they are struggling.

You would be just as well (if not better) with something like a visual sound one spot wouldn't you? in terms of spec etc...

I would hazard a guess to say that the outputs on the maplins PSU aren't isolated?

Just read a bunch of reviews on this on amazon, they all say to avoid due to unacceptable hiss.....

thumbs down for maplin...their quality has really plunged then over the last 5 yrs or so. They used to be a really good source of stuff.

Maplin are headed to the wall if they don't improve.

They really don't help themselves though.

    36p for a 0.6W resistor:

    Approx 5p for a 0.6W resistor:

I know you have to pay shipping from Germany from Musikding so for one or two components its not worth it but if you are building a whole pedal its a no brainer.

The Maplin ones are a complete waste of money, not isolated and noisy as hell... avoid.
On a budget you are not going to beat one of these...

+1 for the Harley Benton. It's a clone of the TRex for only £30 instead of £100. 5 isolated outputs. I daisy chain one output to use 7 pedals in total. All Quiet.

It's funny, it's described as a clone but I'd imagine this sort of circuit if the kind of thing manufacturers of the parts freely issue?

In any case, I love mine. Doesn't quite have the juice for my nova repeater, but everything else powers off it great, is silent and works perfectly.

^ It's not isolated like the Jr is. If you want more outlets (and don't just want to buy 2 Jrs :)) ) Musicstore and DV247 does what looks to be a clone of the voodoo labs isolated power supply for a little more than the Harley Benton Jr, but I haven't tried it (and I found Thomann much better to deal with than MusicStore, FWIW).
