would you pay £194 for an amp stand?

What's Hot
I was actually looking for one with a mic holder for my combo, and stumbled upon this.

I probably wouldn't, given that the Proel EL700 is about £40, and the mic boom for it about £25.

  • It holds up to 30kg. Less than a lot of combos!

Exactly what i'm after :-).. , but not so easy to find.
Studiospares have them ,but unfortunately no boom arm attatchment, they appear to be like hen's teeth.

    Yes.

Provided it was an amp stand with reinforced side panels, metal edges, steel corners, butterfly catches, end handles and wheels.

Easily the best kind, and doubles as a handy amp protector as well.

Ones for the size of amp I have do cost about that much.

The one in the link, no. My amp weighs 45Kg for a start...

I can't imagine regularly using an amp that weight over half as much as me.

You get used to it. It's best to have two, so you're more balanced when you're carrying them :).

Actually I cheat. My music room is on the ground floor, the amps are on wheels, and I can back the car right up to the door. At the other end... there are other band members around and that's why they have two end handles ;).

Luckily the same is true of my bass amp, which weighs nearly 10Kg more!
