that headphone amp, will that connect to my hifi amp so I can listen to stuff on headphones, or is it more a booster?

honestly? no idea, depends what outputs the amp has. I got it simply to plug my pod into one input, and my ipod into the other input and mix the two... only i could never be bothered to actually do that and never used it
