Buffing up my Junior. Advice please!

What's Hot
I've got a Gibson Les Paul Junior in the "worn" finish.

It seems to have gone shiny where it rubs against me (oo-er missus!) back and neck mainly but most of the front is still matt.

I was thinking of waxing it up so it is the same all over, any recommendations on a polish that would be suitable for nitro?

Also it has a little patch of wear through on the back any recommendations on a dye to tart it up with prior to polishing?

It looks like this....

I've not used it myself, but Virtuoso gets a lot of mentions for this on the My Les Paul forum.

too much buffing of one's junior can lead to blindness

(and apologies for having nothing useful to add)

Thought I'd seen it here, but apparently not: this fella got good results on his 333.

Any good carnauba car wax will be fine and likely better value for money than anything with 'guitar' written on it. 3M and Meguiars are a couple of top-dog brand names to trust. Mainly avoid anything with silicon in it, just because it's a PITA when it comes to refins and touch-ups etc.
