I played and recorded with Mick Hucknall's current drummer- the mighty Roman Roth- when I was in Basel, Switzerland.

I have one of those 'whole of the school' panoramic photos (in black and white!)

He was on the back row, I was on the front row. The school had a sixth form - he was 18, when I was 11. Some years ago, he was claiming to be about two years older than me....

Apart from his ability to occasionally sing sharp (I can live with flat, but NEVER sharp!) - I think he has a decent voice.

The rest of my experience with him could be litigious, so I will say no more, except (!) that I saw Robert Cray play a great club called The International in the mid '80s, when he first played in Brittain. He was very much considered the 'hot new blues player' at the time and Hucknall was standing at the bar, wearing an deer-stalker, a cape and leaning on a cane....

Clearly the Sherlock Holmes look was where it was 'at' at the time.

Only days earlier, he'd sung 'Holding Back the Years' (beautifully, it has to be said) on Top of The Pops....

Kirk's spending money like a drunken sailor, at the minute, aint he..?!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.
