A few months ago I took a fancy to the idea of a Gordon Smith. I started looking at a GS1 but was suddenly distracted on their website by another model - the Graf. A slightly smaller bodied cross between a LP and a Tele, with a humbucker (splittable) and single coil. Poplar body with maple top and maple neck.  This was the guitar I ended up plumping for. I went for a black finish in the end; gloss on the front, satin on the back, with some lovely body binding. There were quite a few options available but I went for the standard model.

Unboxed it earlier and it's beautifully finished and plays nicely. It also sounds HUGE! massively surprised by the quality of the sounds. It's like a Tele on steroids.

Well chuffed, it has to be said. I also like the fact that it smells like it just rolled off the production line. I would certainly encourage anybody looking at buying an electric from £400 upwards to give Gordon Smith a try - they do various models and plenty of customisation options.

Nice. I'm a great fan of the Graf. Have one from, I think, the 90's. Never understood why GS discontinued it but good to see they saw sense.

    Enjoy

Lovely Guitar, I'd never seen one of those before and it's quite an interesting design. I like the idea of the angled neck pick up. It looks slightly Wolfgang-esque (apart from the neck pup).

Love to hear one, but can't find an demos, hint hint!

Thanks all. @Wolfcaster - yes, it does look a little Wolfgang-esque from certain angles. Maybe I'll try and put some sort of demo up. I had no idea how they sounded or felt before ordering one so it was a gamble but pleased to say it paid off...

It sort of does, yeah. The Ghost or Ghostrider has a slightly more dramatic curve along the top looking at their website.
