Source for bakelite sheets in the UK?

Anyone have one?
I'm about to embark on a new build and quite fancy making my own custom pickguard out of bakelite but can't find a source in the UK.
I know Garolite XX seems to be what most are selling as bakelite these days but can't find that here either.
I'd prefer to source locally than import if possible.
Cheers.

In a previous life I sold industrial plastics, Bakelite is just a trade name for a phenolic resin thermoset, you should try Tufnol in Birmingham, they do an equivalent

Cheers, I shall look into them.
McMaster-Carr seem to be the go-to suppliers but their site has absolutely no info on shipping charges, which makes orderign a wee bit of a lottery!

The Canadian chappie on ebay may be viable if he does slightly larger sheets.
    Thanks.
