This will be a new challenge running alongside the normal FB Challenge and will be starting soon. Thanks to the people that suggested it in the FB Challenge comments thread, its a great idea for sure.

SIMPLE RULES!          NO BULLSHIT!               NO PRIZES!            NO YOUTUBE!         LOTS OF FUN!

Rules:

WRITE GUITAR RIFFS! (you can include whatever else you want in the mix but the riff must be the main focus)

No longer than 30 seconds of audio! this is about riffs not songs

Challenge opens on the 1st of every month

Challenge closes on the 24th of every month

Voting open on the 25th of every month

Voting closes and winner announced on the last day of every month

Send audio tracks to an as yet undecided email address, and the tracks will then be uploaded to a soundcloud account that will probably be different to the normal FB challenge account.

Thats about it! Any questions let me know, first challenge will start 1st August!

I shall arrange the mail and soundcloud soon.

I've just done my first one ready.

I've even given it a name.

At the risk of spoiling all the fun later, it's called "Poke on the Waiter" and it's about how I got really bad service when I was over in Montreux at a casino, years ago.  

The waiter was really slow (although I'd had "a few" by then).  Just to get his attention, I picked up what I thought was a water pistol to shoot at him.  Turns out it was a flare gun (who left that there???), but luckily I missed him.  Unluckily the whole place burned to the ground.
