This arrived yesterday as a neck and body combination, a very nice LP jr copy, another excellent guitar from Grahame at GSP.... http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii21/paulnb57/IMG_9154_zpsfcb42ec3.jpg This is as far as I got today...Dry assembled, all necessary holes drilled, primed, painted, assembled, intonated. Needs the nut sorting as I could park my Defender between the fretboard and strings,the tone control doesn't work (Duh! shit wirer, can't get easier than 1 pup, 1 vol, 1 tone, I still got it wrong!!) Need a truss rod cover, rear cavity cover and strap buttons, sounds awesome (Iron Gear P90 pup). It got a thin coat of primer and 2 thin coats of satin black all dried real quick, the shed is like an oven and the rattle cans were stood in warm water prior to spraying, the finish is on a par with my new Les Paul Melody Maker, the grain shows through and hopefully it will wear through quite quickly. Oh and the vol and tone knobs have to go but its all I have! Anyroad up here it is now not too shabby! http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii21/paulnb57/imagejpg1_zpsd0071ce2.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii21/paulnb57/imagejpg3_zps6eb1d061.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii21/paulnb57/imagejpg2_zpsc71baa2c.jpg

    Sorry - I didn't mean that to sound negative (which it probably did).

    I used to rave about the Iron Gear p'ups because they were (are) head, shoulders and half a chest above anything else at that price point.

    But then our very own Mr Guitar Weasel* came along and gave us an option that's so much better, for not a lot more ££s.  Plus you know that his stuff is hand-wound in East London rather than coming off a machine somewhere in Chinaland, with about 3 sets of profit markup and, the costs of a rather long boat journey and a generous donation to HMRC built into the price.

    * other p'ups are available.

    That finish looks awesome. Like the combo of the pickguard and knobs too. Very nice indeed.

    That LPJ is an absolute corker.  I think the clear knobs look quite good.
