I went into an outdoor locally this evening and they had sherry on draft, which I haven't seen in decades.

Many a Saturday night I'd get sent down the Cottage Spring in Hilltop (West Brom) for a pint of sweet Armadillo, some fizzy pop and a bag of 'Local' pork scratchings.

Brought it all back.

As I invariably did at the time.

    It's very rare to have it on draught because it has to be bottled (especially amontillado and the other dark ones) because of the flor yeast (also it only lasts as long as wine once opened).

    Lol - never knew that! I once did something rather silly regarding sherry. I invented a sherry club with a mate of mine and we booked ourselves to speak about it on BBC radio. The interview lasted 1 hour. It was pretty hair raising, for us anyway.
