Hi everyone,
My username is PJH.
I live in Johannesburg, South Africa.
I'm a fulltime musician and I also run a studio which produces audio and video.
I've released two instrumental solo albums and am just about to release my third.
I've also been spending a lot of time creating demo videos on various products for guitar ( MI Audio, Line 6 etc) and have recently been made a brand ambassador for Line 6. I've always used PODs etc in the studio and have recently acquired the Line 6 Helix.
Thanks for letting me join your community.
Cheers,
Peter..

My main guitar is a Strat and it was the first thing that came into my head when I joined my first music forum (Reaper) many years back.

My HSS (S1 switching) American Fender Strat remains my favourite and I can't imagine that ever changing, whatever guitars I buy.

Maybe something by Robben Ford, Jeff Beck or Guthrie Govan depending on my mood. But today I'll go for The Hunter from the Free Live album because that made a big impression on me in my youth. I still get shivers when I hear that Kossoff vibrato.

Hi Folks, I'm Martin and new around these parts! :-)
Q1: It came from my Xbox 360 gamertag about 10 years ago! I'm from Bristol, born in 86...enough said!
Q2: Ahem....
Q3: To just enjoy playing for my own benefit really, playing things I like to hear, hopefully one day with a reasonable degree of competency!
Q4: That's handy, I only own the one, for now! My Takamine EG440SC
Q5: Wow, incredibly tough, my musical tastes are pretty diverse and ever changing! Just one, really? I'll have to say Parade by Matchbox Twenty.
Q1: Where did you username come from?
It's my name :-D
Q2: Where in the world/country are you?
London UK but born in Rochford, Essex. Also lived in the USA and Finland.
Q3: What's your main musical ambition?
I think SRV summed it up nicely: " I'm just trying to find the most tone I can... sometimes
it's effortless and sometimes it's a struggle"
Q4: Your "best" bit of gear - just the one?
Hmm, tough one. I would have to say my early Keeley modded TS9, it is nearly always there
even if it's off, for its buffer and I just like the sound.
Q5: Your #1 ever track - again, just the one?
Santana "Soul Sacrifice live at Woodstock"
I like playing a lot and try and jam/open mic twice a week. I like playing a lot of different styles too.
Equally, I like building and build all my own amps and cabs, assemble and spray my guitars from quality parts (Strat and Tele types), wind my own pickups for these too. I have built quite a few effects, my favoiurite being a Univibe, love those Light Dependent resistors lol, also built a tube tester that is really useful but was very hard to do TBH (very tight PCB).
I've got my first big gig soon, leading my own band for the first time ever and covering a lot of diverse material that I like so fingers crossed...
