  • Q1:  Where did you username come from? - Long story short, back in 2003 when I choose the name, it was because I was watching James Bond atm. Soon afterwards, I started to use images of "Felix the Cat" for sigs etc and I've really grown to love "Felix the Cat" and I even have a giant poster 2m x 1m above my bed of Felix's face. I've used the name and cat for so long they are a part of my real life identity and through the car scene people will call me Felix rather than my given name. One day when I can get myself organised I am going to get a giant "Felix the Cat" tattooed on my body as he is really a part of my identity now. Ironically, I hated cats when I originally chosen the name.

Q2:  Where in the world/country are you? - I live in Oxford , UK. I was born all the way up in South Yorkshire but when my parents got me, they brought me back down to Oxford.

Q3:  What's your main musical ambition? - I don't bother with things like that. I learn the things I want to at that time, be it to know phrasing and scales to play over some backing music, or simply to learn a song I really like. To me music is a very fluid thing and I just focus on enjoying as much as I can when I'm with my guitars

Q4:  Your "best" bit of gear - just the one? My 1979 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in Ebony (black). Recently aquired as I wanted a guitar built around the same time I was born.

Q5:  Your #1 ever track - again, just the one? Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd would prolly just tip it. Honestly anything from Dark Side of the Moon , Wish You Were Here and The Wall would be high up on my list. David Gilmour is my all time number one guitarist.

    1.  Miles Davis tune.  I'm a big Miles Davis fan, but no great thought went into this, just had to come up with something in a hurry - I like the tune a lot but I wouldn't say it holds any particular significance for me.
    2. Scotland.
    3. With some help from old friends and band-mates I'm assembling some recordings of (mainly) my recent tunes that I hope will eventually become the basis for a new live band and can be circulated through the internet etc.  I'm very happy with the quality of ideas, I just find realising them on record incredibly time consuming and hard work, because I don't have much recording/production experience.
    4. Probably the guitar I most unreservedly love is my Gibson 336.
    5. Frank Sinatra, All or Nothing At All, the version on the Strangers in the Night album.
“To a man with a hammer every problem looks like a nail.”
