Right, so after careful consideration I've decided to remove the pics to avoid any potential issues with a certain well established pedal builder, who's name rhymes with Meat Pornish. Thanks for the heads up and concern from all who've commented on this thread, much appreciated. Love the community on here, great bunch of guys. :-) I'm still making lovely hand built pedals though, so get in touch if you'd like one.

Very tasty.

Mimicking their style is generally ok, but you've got to be careful selling stuff with someone else's brand name on it... It's the thing that's going to get their attention and if they're feeling litigious, get you into bother.

It's also surprisingly easy to get their attention, particularly if you post them to Facebook... /voe

At least one of the hobby pedal builders on here has had the heavy mob on them for getting a bit close to a trademark.

Fair play and lesson learned I guess! I might have to be more subtle with my builds in future. Or just not post pictures of them lol

Wasn't me, but I've had someone have a quiet word with me about something I used on a pedal once that I wanted to sell on FB. It's all well and good if you're making something for yourself. However as soon as you try to sell something, even a one off, they have to protect their trademark and they will...

Just gotta be careful.

You can still show us pics. Just don't state whether the pedals were sold or just built for personal use. As far as I'm aware you are allowed to do what you like for personal use as long as you're not profiting or taking business from others with their trademarks.

Your pedals look amazing by the way.

Yeah nothing at you personally- I know he gets heated about these things.

He blacklisted me for selling a pedal! (I sold it for twice what I paid as a TES- bloody regret it though!)

I've come to this thread a bit late, so you have now wetted my interest and I don't even know what type of pedal we are talking about, just whose its very similar to.

Like the toddler that wants to see over the top of the table.
