Black or White guitars should be ritually burnt.  Horrible things.  Best colours?  Green (dont have any :( Red, blue or any form of cherry burst.  NOT 3 col burst - no no no no no no

Cherry burst?  Really?  I like most sunbursts but I've always had almost a phobia of cherry bursts, even on otherwise cool guitars like Ace Frehley's LP and Yamaha SG2000s.

    Diff'rent strokes, I suppose.  :)

Red is for Hank Marvin, do you need any more to discredit the colour?
One nail. One head. One direct hit.

The opposite. Word has it that Hank turned more people on to playing guitar than Jimi. Hank is the one reason I'd tolerate a red Strat instead of natural wood or sunburst.

That's a CS336, and it would be *way* better as sunburst, red or blacktop

...and does the strap help the tone.

If your Combo Amp is on the floor....Your strap can affect the tone.
Take the strap off and you will notice that your amp now sounds different.

If you want an even bigger difference: Put your amp on a chair.

Red guitars are usually Gibson SGs so obviously sound better than blue guitar which are usually PRS blue, flamey and sound rubbish.

Cherry burst is a vile mistake, and mistake it must be for no one would knowingly inflict that upon us.

Funny thing is, I like reddy-yellowy bursts, but the Gibson cherry is just... Awful.

Not a big fan of red.

Blue, purple, black, white, black, green, black, turquoise, black or black are the best colours.

Now you're talking, OP - pink guitars rule!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

This is so true .We all started with Hank ,Duanne Eddy and Bert Weedon .Then we moved on but few others have had such an impact ,at least in the UK.

Three guitar players that cite Hank as their main influence are Gilmour, Knopfler and Clapton.

    That kinda says a lot.

Not for sale (or ethical disposal).

I did compare it against several others at the time, so I take that as 100%-reliable scientific proof that turquoise sounds better than cherry, sunburst or, er... natural.

Sadly there was no pink guitar available to put the turquoise vs. pink theory to the test.
