What's Hot
GassageGassage Frets: 30826
Following on from discussions re putting mod pedals in one enclosure, I challenange any builder to quote as follows

*as fewer enclosures as poss.
*vibe, phaser, chorus, flanger (I can free issue pedals)
*buffered in and out
*rackmount considered

Thru choice, bbe vibe, phase 90, CE2 BF2.

Go for it- I'm genuine about this.

Ya know Gassage, its something that I think about, a lot, I wouldn't want your combination, but I like the idea, mine would be something like

Buffer, 1 of @thorpy6 Centaur Clones, Boost, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, silent tuner out, all in one easy to use plug n play box…….no patch leads no multiple power leads, power in, guitar in, guitar out, bloody marvellous!

  • Not a clue, but the BBE vibe and bf2 are awesome sounding pedals. Love the BBE mind bender, too, which has a vibe mode. It's really sea sicky, though.

    As you were.

I've yet to find a better all-rounder than the TC SCF. I do, however, have an EBS Unichorus at the moment- very sickly sweet but  great chorus. Flanger is a little meh though

That's pretty much why I bought my T-Rex Soul Mate. It almost does what you want as well.

    @Iamnobody

As I said to you at Chez Gassage, the nearest one to my taste is the Carl Martin Quattro-

Comp, 2 ODs, Chorus and Analog Delay....

  • Yeah the TRex wouldn't suit you but is quite close to @paulnb57 's requirements.

Will be using mine on Thursday for the first time at proper volumes.

It doesn't say anywhere you'd be using more than one at a time... so vibe, flanger, phaser and chorus can all be the same box:

remove the dry signal from the chorus for vibe
reduce the delay time of the chorus for flanger
invert the wet signal of the chorus should give you a phaser.

A sig-nat-eur? What am I meant to use this for ffs?! Is this thing recording?

So why hasn't anyone ever done this successfully?

hi, I've been away so I've only just seen this thread. its an interesting concept idea and entirely doable i guess. What i would say is this, its easier to build from the ground up than shoe horn ready built effects into one box. the CE2 and BF2 already have buffers as part of their circuit and adding them in the mix with other items just might add difficulty. Ive built a triple pedal before but the ones I've done tend  to be based around boost, od and distortion. I have a love/hate relationship with modulation.......
