@markj no, it's from within the EU. Only thing to watch in the exchange rate might differ.

no tax, free shipping, send it back for £15 If you don't like it

Only catch is: currency transfer fees - use a credit card that adds no currency conversion cost - check out money saving expert to get a good one

  • thanks for the link!

Thomann do some really good deals when there is an end-of-range sell off, always worth keeping an eye on their stock

Tried to resist but just bought the lefty Firebird!

Be interesting to see if it's any better than the MIK Tokai Firebird I had which was a bit mediocre.

It is a very circuitous way to drum up business, but hey, it works!

    Jag arrived today

Amazing for the cash, Feels like a Mex to me. pups not as nice as Mississippi queens of course, but they would cost more than this instrument

Action, etc set up well, even though no real relief in the neck. intonation needs a tweak, and earth wire to bridge is not working - but Thomann say they will pay a local luthier to fix it. They did this before when a stop tail pin was not fitted right.

Not sure what to use on this 24 inch scale. I normally use 9-46 on my strats (and everything else in EADGBE). Maybe I should tune it up a tone?

Glad to hear it is up to snuff and thomann are taking care of the wiring issue! I've always liked hybrid sets on shorter scale lengths but I think most people would tell you to go for 10s or 11s...
