Advice please

Dear all - newly joined as looking for advice on a possible guitar build.  I have several guitars already, along with a couple that I screwed together from bits; not entirely happy with them so thought I would try a proper build.

What I'd like to come up with is along the lines of a Gretsch Penguin or DuoJet series; semi hollow bodied, with pickups of the ilk of TV Jones/Dynasonics or such like.  Does anyone know where the bits and bobs can be got - good quality preferably rather than eBay bulk produced.  UK preferably.....

You could try the Gretsch-Talk forum for parts, although some of the septics are funny about posting outside of their borders. But there's a good amount of UK people and decent ad traffic.

Getting things from the States is no problem. I've bought lots of stuff from there no bother. Dynas do come up for sale now & then, not often in the UK, and I don't think you can buy new but TVJ does a T-Armond.

Don't think there's any Gretsch-style kits or bodies out there though.
