Best KLON Clone?

OK just got a KLON KTR on Friday, To say I am blown away is an understatement! Looking get a clone for my smaller rig, Whats best, EHX soul food is getting good press but I have had some awful EHX stuff in the past!

I have the Fredic Klone (same circuit as Golden Eagle I believe) which is a great pedal in its own right although I have no idea if it sounds like a Klon.

A Fredric effects Zombie Klone is head and shoulders above a Soulfood in my opionion.

I have one of mine for sale here. After 50+ handbuilt overdrives this is still the best circuit in my opinion. It's the Artisan drive at the bottom. One of my favourite artworks too, I was super pleased with how ice cool this looks.

If you want small and cheap the soul food is probably hard to beat.

I haven't compared it head to head with a real one, or one of the "better" klones, though. I tried a real klon ages back but I can't remember anything about it, really. Not that it'd help if I could because you really need to try things head to head to be sure, anyway.

Another vote for @timhulio, I have a Fredric effects zombie klone and I blinking love it! Great sound with a build to match. I'm sure @timhulio has put a link to a YouTube vid comparing the zombie with a KTR in his thread in the made in the UK section. I'm sure it was by an ausie guy, blues review or something like that?

They are all much of a muchness with very small variations in what they actually sound like if they stick to the schematics that are out there. There is no 'best' as they are all mostly the same thing. Buy which ever one you think looks nice on your board.

I should have mine in a couple of days from PP, like you said, it's just diodes and stuff, I honestly cannot tell in that clip what is what (looking away from the screen).  And like you said, get one thaty you like the look of.  Will post pics and feedback when i get it.  Would be interesting stacking it with a Timmy and a TS808 (JHS double barrel).
