Bought a bass....

.... and collecting it tomorrow.  One of the lower spec models, did not pay a lot for it, but it is good enough to learn about bass on.  I know the story - pics and all that - hopefully I will have some uploaded by Wednesday or Thursday.

A question for the techies.  The fretboard feels a little 'dry'.  What is the best way to liven it up [I have some lemon oil] and is it necessary to remove the strings to apply the treatment.

On guitar I'd always remove the strings before lemon-oiling... whether it's the same for bass, I have no idea.
