Bands First attempt at recording

What's Hot

Hi

I got back to playing the electric about 3 years ago after a break of about 30 years. Used to play rhythm in a band in my yoof but decided I wanted to learn lead this time around and so I tried to. Formed a band in Jan this year with similarly aged guys , had our first gig in May . We decided we needed to try and record something to put on facebook and get us gigs out of our area and so we had an 8 hour session on Sat to record 4 "live" tracks and this is the result. Would appreciate your comments....Realise the mix isn't the best but time was against us and for us it's a very long time since we've been in a studio !

  • Great stuff, for a live session, and in that time pretty impressive.  Look forward to hearing more.

  • Sounds great guys, Just a bit of eq and comp to the drum mix if you have the isolated tracks, There are a few tricks you can use to reference the mix to even things out that are really simple, people have a habit of way overcomplicating mixes.
